On Saturday, October 29, 2022, a delegation from the Sierra Leone Roads Authority, led by the Director General, Ing. Amara Jambai Kanneh, visited the project site to inspect the progress made on the works.

So far, the contractor, GUICOPRES Sierra Leone Limited, has achieved five kilometres of site clearing.  Some of the other activities that have been done include: blasting of rocks, recovery of the Right-of-Way, establishment of the roadbed, establishment of the quarry site and borrow area.

The Contractor is now at an advanced stage of installing a crusher to start the production of aggregate. While the actual rehabilitation works are ongoing, the contractor continues to do routine maintenance works on the deplorable sections of the road to make it passable.

The delegation was satisfied with the progress of work on the project.
